Two Victims Identified in the Ivy League School Attack as Authorities Press On With Manhunt for Perpetrator.

The pair of scholars who were killed in Saturday’s tragic incident at Brown University were honored at the start of the week – amid a widespread hunt for their assailant persisted following the discharge by local law enforcement of the only individual questioned in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

The student Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was called “an amazing, stable, pious, radiant soul”, as stated by the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which paid tribute to her at a service on Sunday.

She served as vice-president of Brown’s division of the campus GOP group, as the club stated. Karoline Leavitt also shared words of sorrow publicly, stating: “There are no words. Thinking of her family and friends, above all her mom and dad.”

The Second Victim

The other deceased individual was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, from Uzbekistan in his first year of studies at the Ivy League university, according to relatives.

His name was verified by the foreign office of Uzbekistan.

“He was incredibly kind, funny, and smart. He had big dreams of pursuing a career in neurosurgery and assisting patients,” his sibling Samira said in a online post.

An additional nine individuals were injured in Saturday’s attack in the engineering building of Brown’s university in Providence, during the university's examination week.

Law enforcement reported by the end of Sunday that a 24-year-man detained in a police operation at a Hampton Inn about around 27 kilometers from the campus earlier in the day was being released.
