Mohamed Salah Offers Statement to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has shared that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the group of players after the fallout from his public comments.

He was omitted from a vital match subsequent to making accusations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, please accept my apology.’”
Arne Slot has refused to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the player.

Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and everybody was exactly the same with him,” he continued.
Jones also suggested that a player's desire to start is preferable. “I get that there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Team Form
The team's performance have remained strong in the period after the initial controversy. He feels the forward's comments were not intended to cause disruption.
“In moments of frustration, the source has been from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and starting to win games.”
