Ex- Doctor Charged with Sexual Assault Charges Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a ex- physician has been charged with performing assaults against 38 individuals who were patients.
Details of the Serious Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of acts of sexual assault – including acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges follow what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
